Manufacturers and Suppliers of certain goods and services have many ways to get their products or services to the customer.  Many choose to own company stores and others choose to offer dealerships and distributorships.  Franchise systems differ because they are the vehicle that delivers the goods or service to the customer.  

Franchisors are normally companies and people who are in the actual business that you will be in.  Most are not manufacturers or wholesale suppliers.  

While manufacturing and wholesaling may be a portion of a franchior’s business, most franchisors are in the business of delivering a business system to qualified individuals so that those individuals can operate the system to deliver the goods and services to the end consumer.   Said another way, they have done and have been successful in exactly what they are asking you to go and do.

To relate this to IntelliTurf, we install carpet for a variety of customers and markets.  We are not manufacturers and we are not wholesalers.  We sell and market a diversified artificial turf business.  Everything we will ask you to do is born from our experience and our successes and failures from the past decade of our business operations.
